Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how OpeRev ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website (operev.com) or use our application (app.operev.com) (collectively, the "Service").
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide functionality, and give website owners information about how users interact with their sites.
Cookies may be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third parties whose services are used on the site ("third-party cookies").
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They enable core functionality such as authentication, session management, security, and load balancing. The Service cannot function properly without these cookies.
- Authentication cookies: Keep you signed in across pages
- Security cookies: Protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
- Load balancing cookies: Route your requests to the appropriate server
Can I disable these? No. These cookies are required and cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
2.2 Functionality Cookies
These cookies remember choices you make to provide a more personalized experience.
- Preference cookies: Remember your UI preferences (theme, layout, timezone)
- Workspace selection: Remember which workspace you were using
Can I disable these? Yes, but some functionality may be reduced.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Google Analytics (GA4): Tracks anonymized usage patterns
- Vercel Analytics: Tracks page performance and traffic
We do not use analytics cookies to identify individual users personally.
Can I disable these? Yes, through your cookie preferences or browser settings.
2.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies
OpeRev does not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
3. Third-Party Services That Set Cookies
Third-party services integrated with the Service may set cookies. These include:
- Stripe — payment processing (operev.com checkout pages)
- Google Analytics — analytics
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Supabase — authentication and backend
Each of these services has its own privacy policy and cookie practices.
4. Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use:
- Local storage: Browser-stored data used for performance and functionality
- Session storage: Similar to local storage but cleared when the browser is closed
- Web beacons: Small transparent images used to track email opens
- Server logs: IP addresses, browser information, and request data logged automatically by our servers
5. How Long Cookies Persist
Cookies we use fall into two categories by duration:
- Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a set period (typically 1–13 months)
6. Managing Cookies
6.1 Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies. Instructions vary by browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
6.2 Blocking Cookies
If you block cookies entirely, some features of the Service (including authentication) will not work.
6.3 Opt-Out Links
- Google Analytics: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
7. Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA
If you are in a jurisdiction with privacy rights (such as the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA), you have the right to access information about cookies we use, consent to or refuse non-essential cookies, and withdraw consent at any time. We do not sell personal information collected through cookies.
8. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers support "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no industry standard for how websites should respond to these signals, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We honor cookie preferences you set through our cookie preferences center (where available) and through your browser.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
